# Research Engineer - Electromagnetic Sensor and System

## About the Role
Wave Innovations / X-wave Innovations, Inc. is hiring a Research Engineer focused on electromagnetic sensors and systems. The team conducts state-of-the-art R&D and product development across sensor technologies, ultrasound, nondestructive testing and structural health monitoring, AI/ML, electronic systems and control, and advanced materials processing.
## Responsibilities
- Conduct R&D in electromagnetic sensing from concept through development.
- Develop sensor systems through modeling, simulation, prototyping, and testing.
- Present R&D results to clients and collaborators.
- Write technical reports and research proposals.
## Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.S. with 5+ years of hands-on experience in electromagnetic sensor and sensing system design and development.
- Strong background in electromagnetic coupling and energy transfer principles.
- Experience with FEA simulations and transmitter/receiver circuitry design and development.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills.
- U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident preferred.
## Education
Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
